The hottest and coldest months of the year create the highest bills for members because our heating and cooling units are working harder and longer.
Use Platte-Clay's Levelized (budget) Billing to smooth out the energy costs.
Members who have had 12 months' history of on-time payments and who have had service for 12 months at the same location qualify for levelized billing.
Platte-Clay will base the "levelized" energy charge based on the previous year's service and divide that amount over 12 months. In the fall, your co-op will adjust the payment, either more or less, depending on the amount of energy used for that year and a new rate, if that applies.
The rate is the same as for other residential members.
